Colorado Mobile Veterinarian
Animals in Balance is dedicated to an alternative approach to balancing the health of companion animals and equines through Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Tui-na, and Food Therapy.
Animals in Balance Acupuncture provides Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine utilizing Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Food Therapy and Tui-na (Chinese therapeutic massage) for an alternative approach to balancing your animal’s unique system.
Unlike traditional veterinary care, Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) rebalances your pet’s energy and allows the body to heal itself. TCVM works with Western Medicine to accomplish this goal. Western diagnostics, such as blood work, x-rays, ultrasound and MRI are often needed to obtain an accurate diagnosis. It can take a bit longer to see results with TCVM, but there are fewer side effects and the body can heal faster with longer lasting results.
I will customize an individual plan for your pet depending on their specific issues or diseases. I treat dogs and cats, as well as horses and exotics. A written plan includes herbal and food therapy recommendations, and I will teach you a few Tui-na techniques that you can perform on your pet in between acupuncture appointments.
I am a mobile veterinarian. In order to provide treatment in the most relaxing environment possible, I typically visit you and your pet in your home and/or stable.
Services
In our goal to achieve renewed balance to your pet, we provide all four branches of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
Acupuncture is an ancient medical practice that is now commonly used in the veterinary treatment of animals. It can be successfully combined with conventional veterinary medicine to enlist the patient’s natural healing mechanisms.
Chinese Therapeutic Massage is used in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) to enhance the effects of the other branches of acupuncture and herbal medicine to treat and prevent disease by tonifying areas that are deficient and sedating areas that are in excess.
Food Therapy is the use of foods to help potentiate or enhance the effects of acupuncture and herbal medicine to treat and prevent disease. In TCVM, Food Therapy is used to help balance the body’s energy.
Herbal medicine has been shown to be effective in treating a variety of medical conditions including gastrointestinal, respiratory, musculoskeletal, endocrine, cardiovascular, dermatological and cancers.
